Neighborhood and Backyard
Our family has been fortunate to live in the foothills above Tucson for the past 35 years. This has provided a desert landscape literally at our doorstep. Walking or jogging 2 - 4 miles in our neighborhood has been a delight. Since retirement I have frequently taken my camera along allowing me to photograph the seasonal changes in the desert flora.

We built a butterfly garden in our backyard soon after I retired. This has brought scores of butterflies, especially in the summer and early fall. In addition, we have a small cactus garden which produces magnificent blossoms in the spring. All of the images of butterflies and cactus blossoms in this folder were captured in our backyard.
